The 2026 NRL season splits its broadcast rights the same way recent seasons have: a handful of free-to-air games each week, with everything else behind a subscription.
What's free
Nine shows three games per week on free-to-air TV, plus the finals series and the Grand Final. Every Nine broadcast also streams free on 9Now — you just need an account, no payment details.
What's paid
Fox League carries every game of every round live, and Kayo Sports streams the same coverage. If your team isn't in Nine's three weekly picks, this is the only legal way to watch them live.
Kickoff times across states
The NRL schedules in AEST/AEDT. Queensland doesn't observe daylight saving, so a 7:50pm Sydney kickoff is 6:50pm in Brisbane during summer months. Our match pages show the start time for every state, so check the page for your game rather than doing the maths.
State of Origin
Origin games are broadcast free on Nine in 2026, in addition to the weekly club allocation. They appear in our NRL fixtures list around Rounds 12–18.
